What have started in back then, still today Kolkata people uses this famous yellow taxi of the city for their daily commute. Parts of India still celebrates holi in traditional ways. At Nandgaon in Uttar Pradesh, when holi is at its peak, men from near by town barsana tries to take over nandbaba temple. In return Nandgaon men protect it by throwing colours on them. The scene is absolute riot of happiness and celebration.
Key Monastery is Tibetan Buddhist monastery located on top of the hill in Himalaya at an height of 4,166 metres in Spiti valley region. This young monk caught my attention when he was pretty damn serious with his playing gun. The situation is pretty ironic and intrigued me to create this frame.
Kumbhmela is biggest religious festival happening in India. During kumbhmela, sadhus from all around India visit the land to take a holy bath on the main day. Naga sadhus are the first to take a dip in holy water before it opens up for common people. This particular image is a scene from Trimbakeshwar, Nashik kumbhmela in 2015. Two young nagas holding hands of each other before taking a dip is what made this image intriguing to me.
Santa Maria della Salue is a Roman Catholic church and minor basilica located at Punta della Dogana in the Dorsoduro sestiere of the city of Venice, Italy. The history of basilica goes back till 1631. While the exterior of the building is iconic sight of venice city, interior is nothing less. I have been fortunate to be part of prayers happening inside Santa Maria della Salute.

Transgenders from around places too visit Barsana temple and take part in holi celebration along with locals. It’s a part of culture and tradition where everyone joins hand in this colorful celebration of love, affection and devotion. Traditional holi festival takes place mainly in two villages of Uttar Pradesh named - Barsana and Nandgaon. Traditional holi here is famous for lather holi , laddumar holi, flower holi and holi samaj.
Holy processions during Kumbhmela is usual scene. Sadhus like him becomes the part of these holy processions. Chillum is the thing which keeps them focused and close to the lord shiva as they mention. After tired procession this sadhu just decided to get into trance of Chillum Fever.
This portrait of old naga woman with beautiful traditional ornaments is from Hornbill Festival in India. Beautiful neckless colours, her earrings and her eyes attracted me to create this frame.
